Al Wardha Footwear & Leather Products Co. LLC., was set up by OMZEST Group in 1979. This was the first licensed footwear manufacturing industry in the Sultanate of Oman. The commercial operations began in 1982 with a total work force of only six employees. After its initial start at very small premises (porta cabin) at Al Kharais, Seeb, the Company made steady progress and shifted its operations to a 750 sq. metre. shed in Rusayl Industrial Estate in 1984. With a continuous increase in the market demand, a fully mechanised plant for the manufacture of sandals was set up in 1985 in a 1,500 sq.metre shed and later on expanded to a 3,000 sq.metre industrial shed at Rusayl Industrial Estate. This new manufacturing facility is set up with the latest state-of-the-art machinery from Italy and Germany.
The present production line offers the products to customers consisting of local designs of Sandals for Men, Women and Children.
It also caters to the demands of institutions for their special and specific requirements consisting of Safety Shoes, Dress Shoes and Officer's Boots, including Leather Bags, Belts, Vanity Cases, Wallets, Conference Folders and other Leather products.
The customer list includes Government institutions like The Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, Royal Oman Police, Royal Guard of Oman and the Sultan's Special Force.
The range of products being manufactured by Al Wardha in following brands caters the footwear requirements of the different sections of the population.

In view of the specialization in the footwear segment, the company also represents some of the international brands for marketing in Oman for industrial and safety shoes conforming to highest international safety standards (EN345). The ranges include the safety shoes for the following:

The Company has an in-house Design and Development Section headed by a technically qualified Designer and supported by a team of skilled and trained personnel. Al Wardha is a pioneer in the manufacture of Sandals with Polyurethane/Leather Soles. The Design Section is continuously making new designs to keep pace with the changing fashion.
Al Wardha has its Sales network and supplies its products directly to the retailers all over the Country. The Sales Team covers all the six regions of the Sultanate of Oman every week, which enables the Company to keep in close contact with its customers and the market. Al Wardha also exports the products manufactured in its factory to the G.C.C. Countries. The products have gained acceptance in the markets of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and U.A.E. Plans have been made for diversifying into other markets as well.
The Company has in-house facilities to train its personnel to acquire new skills as well as for the upgrading of their skills. The Company has achieved 37.5% Omanisation.
