Amiantit Oman Company LLC, was incorporated in 1974 by the Royal Decree of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and as of now is one of the largest manufacturing Companies in the private sector in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company belongs to the OMZEST and the Bahwan Groups, leading business Groups in Oman. The Company won His Majesty's Award for being one of the best five factories in Oman for the years 1993, 2000, 2003 and 2004. It has also been selected by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for the Best Industry Certificate for the years 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2001.
The Company manufactures Pipes (Fibre Cement, uPVC, High Density Polyethylene & GRP), GRP & GRC Building Products and Roto-moulded products.
The Company's quality and Environment Management system have been accredited with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 respectively by M/s. Det Norske Veritas.
The Company implants quality into each stage of the manufacturing of its products. Each Division is committed to compliance with international standards and internal requirements through their Quality Assurance & Quality Control procedures. Amiantit Oman is the only company to be awarded "OMANI QUALITY MARK' by Govt. of Oman.
PIPES
Pipes manufactured by Amiantit have been laid across every conceivable terrain, over and below ground for applications as diverse as transmission of drinking water, irrigation, electrical conduits, sewage and storm culverts for Oil and Gas. The Company's facility at Rusayl incorporates the most modern extrusion lines for the manufacture of uPVC & HDPE pipes and world-class equipment for the manufacture of fibre cement pipes. The Company has set up the modern HDPE plant under Licence from KWH, Finland, a leading global PE Pipe manufacturer.
Amiantit Oman also manufactures HDPE specialty products, such as STRUCTURAL MANHOLES, VALVE CHAMBERS, ROAD CULVERTS. Large size TANKS for WATER and CHEMICAL STORAGE , etc., these HDPE specialty products are well received in the market as they are easy to install, long lasting. No maintenance requirements etc.,
ROTO-MOULDED PRODUCTS
 The Company is the pioneer in Roto-moulded products in the Sultanate of Oman. The products include (among other things) Water Tanks in Islamic designs in capacities ranging from 100 to 2000 USG, Air-conditioner covers, Litter bins, Planters, Road Barriers, Road Cones. The Division has expanded its capacity with the addition of one more fully computerised Rotational Moulding Machine. This division is accredited to ISO 9001-2000. The moulding division also undertakes Rotolining of  Carbon Steel Fittings.The process provides the best protection against corrosion using HDPE or Nylon based coatings according to circumstances.
 In addition to water tanks this division also manufactures Road Barriers, Refuse Collection Bins and many other items.
GRC & GRP PRODUCTS
GRC - Glass Reinforced Concrete, as a material for construction, is exceptionally flexible, offering unlimited creative possibilities on a macro and micro scale. Each GRC construction by Amiantit enhances the area with a distinct charm and a landmark of its own. Over the years, the Company has developed more than 50 standard GRC patterns based on Islamic designs. The Company is a Licencee of M/s. Cem-Fil International Ltd., U.K and also a member of the GRC Association, U.K.
GRP - Glass Reinforced Polyester division is another specialist wing of the Company, which can cater to exclusive custom design needs in addition to its standard products. The Company is a Licencee of M/s. Yamaha Motor Co, for the manufacture of fishing boats and M/s. Glasdon of U.K, for the manufacture of modular buildings. Other GRP products manufactured by the Company include Water Tanks, Chemical Storage Tanks, Roofing Sheets, Trough moulds, Garden Furniture, Playground equipment and Roadside beautification items.
The Company has successfully executed numerous prestigious GRP & GRC projects, ranging in value from a few hundred Rial Omani to multi million Rial Omani projects in Oman, neighbouring Countries, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
