Bahar Oman Metals and Allied Services LLC (BOMAS) has been formed:
- To explore and mine mineral resources in the Sultanate of Oman.
- To trade in different minerals/ores extracted in the Sultanate of Oman in international market.
- To perform value added activities on the Run-of-Mines (ROM) ore in a yard as per the specifications of different international clients.
The Company is in process of acquiring mines and operations are expected to commence towards the end of 2012.
The Trading desk is operational and exports Chromite ore sourced from local miners directly to the Ferrochrome producers in Asia.
