National Telephone Services Co. LLC, a market leader in the area of communications, was incepted in 1980. From its humble beginnings, with a handful of people and a single division, NTS has today grown to the position of being one of the largest private enterprises in the field of communications in the Sultanate of Oman with five operating divisions under its umbrella.

The Company, apart from its' core competence to undertake turnkey telecommunications projects, has diversified into the IT sector offering complete software solutions networking and also marketing telecom customer premises equipment. NTS has played a crucial role in building the telecoms infrastructure of the country as a major contractor of Omantel and has a long list of other prestigious clients to its credit. NTS is omnipresent in practically every Omani household in the form of GSMs, telephones, gate automation system, video door phones, security systems, etc.

PROJECTS DIVISION :

Undertakes telecom engineering turn-key contracts including design, engineering, supply, construction, testing, commissioning and maintenance of :

• Transmission Systems with Fibre Optic Cable and Co-axial cable
• Roll-out of GSM network infrastructure
• GSM/3G Optimization solutions with MCPA’s, Repeaters & Antenna’s

The Division has well qualified and experienced engineers, supervisors, skilled technicians and a sizeable labor force along with requisite plant, equipment, machines, vehicles and state-of-the- art testing and measuring equipment to facilitate smooth implementation of turn-key projects.

INFOTECH DIVISION:

Information Technology is one of the major thrust areas of NTS. The Division has a large team of well qualified, certified and experienced Sales Consultants, Engineers and Technicians who undertake complete turnkey IT and Telecom projects involving Customised Software Applications, Enterprise -Wide Accounting Solutions, LAN - WAN networking solutions, Security and IP Telephony Solutions, Mobility and Wireless Solutions, Structured Cabling Solutions and the full range of PDH, SDH, DWDM, WLL & NGN Telecom Solutions.

This team carries out complete range of activities from analysis of business problems and requirements, design and planning of enterprise IT and Telecom solutions, project execution to maintenance and facilities management. One of the strengths of the Infotech division is its team of over 25 trained technicians for implementation of structured cabling and telecom projects, which most competitors choose to sub-contract. These in-house technicians ensure quality and timeliness of our installations.

The Infotech Division has partnered with IT and telecommunication industry leaders like Cisco Systems, Tellabs, Huawei Technologies, Systimax Solutions, Brand Rex, and Nexans to provide solutions and services suited for small business to large enterprises and telecommunications carriers. The Infotech Division has set up a countrywide infrastructure of cross-connect network for Omantel, which is used to provide high-speed data leased line services, banking ATM services as well as GSM grooming services across Oman. COMSEC DIVISION:

The ComSec Division has partnership with global leaders like NEC, Geka Matra, Videotronics, BFT, RBH-Access, GE, Ademco, Pelco etc. The Division undertakes design, marketing, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of professional Electronic, Communication and Fire Alarm & Security Equipment. It has grown to the level of catering to the diversified requirements of Government, public and private sectors in Oman.

TELECOM SERVICES DIVISION :

Huawei Mobile phones, devices and Siemens Gigaset Cordless Phones -

NTS is exclusive distributor for Huawei Mobile phones, 3G Modems, ADSL and other devices in the Sultanate of Oman. In addition, NTS is the exclusive distributor of Siemens Gigaset cordless phones in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company has a large, modern and well-decorated showroom, which displays and sells Huawei Mobile phones as well as Siemens Gigaset products. As the authorized 'Local Service Organization' (LSO) of Huawei products and Siemens Gigaset, the division has a spacious workshop equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic machines, tools, tackles & testing machines and manned by trained and certified engineers. The LSO can carry out repairs upto Level 2.5 and boasts of the fastest turn-around time for repairs.

The Division has a large network of dealers across the country who are supported with salesmen, trained manpower training, advertising & POS material and various other promotional schemes. The distributors have also been appointed as service points from where phones and devices requiring repairs are collected and returned after the complaints are quickly attended to.

Prepaid Card Business -

The company is distributing Omantel / Oman Mobile, Nawras, Friendi & Renna pre-paid cards across the Sultanate which is handled by the Telecom Services Division. The products marketed by this division are:

This division serves a wide base of clientele ranging from hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenient stores to small retailers across the country. The Division has branch offices in Salalah, Sohar & Nizwa.

TeleSoft Division

TeleSoft Division of NTS provides, innovative products and solutions to Telecom Service Providers in the areas of Value Added Services, Mobile content solutions, 2G/3G Software solutions, billing solutions for voice, data and Internet and special projects. The product portfolio also includes standard software for business verticals, customize software, Software testing and specialized software training.

The Telesoft Division has also partnered for Telecommunication Industry Solutions for Mobile & Internet Service Providers. They have Partnered with leaders like

MobiFusion, ValueFirst, Kirusa, Oxigen, Infozech, Smartrust, HCL, etc. to provide solutions and services suited for telecommunications carriers & users.

The Special Projects & Telesoft Division is engaged in business for the Telecom Industry & Enterprise Customers for providing Software based Products & Solutions. The marketing team of Telesoft caters to customer requirement by analyzing the core business area, requirements, design and planning of Enterprise IT and Telecom solutions, project execution to maintenance and facilities management.

Motor Vehicle Inspection System

The Division has executed a multimillion (US $ 6 Million) Motor Vehicle Inspection System (MVIS) project for Royal Oman Police of Sultanate of Oman. Have partnered with Snapon Tools (formerly called Cartec, Germany) for the Test Equipment and 3i Infotech, India has designed, developed and implemented the software to interconnect the nationwide Vehicle Test Stations. This project consisted of designing, installation of hardware equipment and software, integration of the new MVIS system with existing Motor Vehicle Registry System (MVRS) which handles the registration and renewal of Motor Vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman.
