Oman Textile Mills Co. L.L.C. (OTM), an ISO 9001:2000 for Quality Management System & ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental Management Certified Company, is situated at the Rusayl Industrial Estate complex about 50 kms. from Muscat. It is a Joint Stock Company, owned 100% by Omani Nationals. The Company was established by early 1988 for the production of textile fabrics, chiefly for the domestic market, but with a potential to export part of its capacity.

The Mill has weaving and processing facilities and is well-equipped with state-of-the-art production lines. It boasts properly air-conditioned buildings containing carefully planned and laid out machinery, not to mention auxiliary facilities such as a modern training center, worker's facilities, modern Management Information Systems, waste and effluent treatment plants and a well-equipped testing laboratory. The Company has successfully implemented Baan ERP System in all the sections of the factory.

The Mill has focused on the areas of quality control and design since its inception. Every care is exercised to ensure 100% quality control. A team of highly motivated and experienced fabric designers help keep the Mill abreast with the latest trends in designs and colours. The Mill is a fine example of Omani skill and ingenuity as a large number of the workforce comprises of Omanis, who have proven their merit beyond any doubt.

OTM today is a striking example of the Sultanate's industrial success aided by private sector enterprises. When working at full capacity, the Mill is capable of producing 5 million metres of fabric per annum. The Mill produces a wide variety of fabrics, which are of a premium quality and comparable with the best imported fabrics. The Mill is reputed for its Dishdasha, Camouflage printed and khaki uniform fabrics, Ghotrah, printed Voile fabrics, Flame-retardant fabric for coveralls, Printed Laysoos and Curtain fabrics. OTM has opened a showroom at its factory premises where the latest designs in printed voiles are introduced every week.

Another feather in OTM's cap is the regular export of fabrics to countries such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Kuwait, etc. OTM has the honour of winning several prestigious domestic and international awards including :-

Trophy and Certificate for being in the first position in the Environmental contest from the Ministry of Regional Municipality for the year 2005.
His Majesty's Trophy for the best five companies in the Sultanate of Oman for the years 1994, 1995 & 2006.
His Majesty's Certificate for being among the first 10 companies in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2003.
His Majesty's Trophy and Certificate for being first in the 20th Municipalities and Water Resources Month's Contest for the year 2004.
