SADOLIN PAINTS - THE LARGEST PAINT COMPANY IN OMAN
Sadolin Paints (Oman) LTD., is the largest paint manufacturing company in Oman and the first paint company in the Middle East to get the ISO 9000 and ISO-14000 certifications. The company was set up in 1977 by the OMZEST Group and some other business houses. SPOL has state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in Muscat and manufactures a wide range of decorative paints, wood protection products, furniture lacquers, protective coatings and adhesives. It has an installed capacity of 15 million liters of paints and adhesives and caters to the varied needs of the construction and furniture manufacturing industries in Oman and other GCC countries. It also has products catering to the auto-refinishing and packaging industries.
SPOL is the leader in the Oman Paint Market enjoying a market share of over 40% for decorative paints, woods protection and furniture lacquers.
SPOL manufactures the decorative paints and wood protection under license from Sadolin Paints, Denmark and these products are marketed under the umbrella brand of "Sadolin".
SPOL also manufactures a wide range of adhesives and these products are marketed in the Middle East under the Fedocol / Fedobond brand names. Apart from the above , SPOL is also the agent for PPG Auto-refinishes for Oman.
SPOL today is a Green Card holder and has an Omanization percentage of 39%.
Today the products of SPOL are sold all over Oman through a network of dealers and three depots at Sohar and Nizwa. SPOL's products are also exported to all GCC countries as will as to some South Asian countries. SPOL has their own offices and stock points at Bahrain, Dubai and Qatar and resident representatives stationed at Kuwait & Saudi Arabia. Exports today contribute more than 35% of SPOL's turnover.
SPOL's products are well known for their excellent quality and many of Sadolin's brand like 88 plus, 77 Emulsions, Sadomastic, Sadolac, Classic etc., are best sellers in the market.
